Broken Beach is a lovely 360 degree limestone formation with a cut through arch in between which lets the waves in. This makes for a unique and eye popping natural attraction driving hoards of local as well as global visitors.
There is a big natural pool, with about a hundred meters in diameter, created by sea abrasion and collapsed limestone hill in million years ago. This hole has 98 meter in diameter and offering unique and scenic view. The white sand, blue sea water, deep cliff limestone, horizon view and the green hills are the panorama.
Although you can’t go swimming at Broken Beach Nusa Penida it is such an unreal setting in itself. The ocean water flows into a natural bowl that is surrounded by towering cliffs. You can take a panoramic walk all the way around Broken Beach to several different viewpoints offering incredible views of this hole in the cliff.
Set over crashing waves of the open Indian Ocean, Broken Beach is a great spot for travel photographers and panoramic view speaker. The adjacent area is also home to grey long-tailed macaques. If you are lucky, you may spot silhouettes of giant mantas near the surface of the deep blue water.
